Country Club of Missouripbaillos@ccmo.net1300 Woodrail Ave.Columbia, MO, 65203(573) 442-1412Phil Baillos comes to us from Tulsa, Oklahoma where he has been a teaching professional for the last 3 years. He has been in the tennis industry and worked in the Midwest for 15 years, with stops in the St. Louis and the Kansas City areas. Phil now brings his knowledge, experience, and leadership to the Columbia area. While working at the Mike Wolf Tennis Academy (located in Lawrence and then Overland Park), he worked part-time with local Columbians, who were serious about competing on the USTA/Missouri Valley Circuit. Those players included Stephanie Price, Katie Glenn, Cheryl Hickey, and Stephanie Smarr, among others.
Phil’s goals are to offer programming and activities for all ages and skill levels at the Country Club and in the Columbia area. Past programming will be continued in addition to forming an Elite Junior Training program for serious junior players that are interested in competing at the sectional and national level. Phil will also be offering tennis products and tennis stringing in the Pro Shop. His passion is to teach players, beginners to advanced, young and old, and see them improve. Phil came to CCMO March 2008.

Blake Edwards
Country Club of Missouri1300 Woodrail Ave.Columbia, MO, 65203(573) 442-1412Blake Edwards attended Hickman High School where he He played number one for the Kewpies. During his High School career, he won both doubles and singles in districts, qualifying for state two of his three years playing high school tennis.
He attended Washburn University . He was his team's captain and his team was the first in Washburn's history to win its conference and go to the NCAA Division II tournament. The 2004 team advanced to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16, and his team was ranked in the top-20 for three of his four years on the team.
After completing his Public Relations degree, he began teaching tennis at the Oakwood Country Club. He has his USPTA Certification, and has placed in the highest percentile for USPTA instruction. Before coming to CCMO Blake was the Assistant Coach to the Mizzou Women's Tennis Team.
Blake joined the CCMO tennis department in April 2008.
