The Country Club of Missouri

Youth Activities

The Country Club of Missouri offers many Youth Programs including Junior Golf, Junior Tennis, Swim Team, Swimming Lessons and other various activies throughout the year.

Junior Golf

The CCMO Junior Golf Program has something for juniors of all ability levels, ages 5 - 16. All Member children may paricipate in Junior Golf, even if you have a Bath & Tennis or Social membership. Tuesday morning sessions in June & July include putting, chipping and driving as well as limited course play.

Advanced Juniors meet Tuesday afternoons and play 9 holes. This group is designed for the junior who wants to play competitive golf in high school and/or college. We recommend that juniors be at least 12 years old before playing in this group.

Our parent-child tournaments have been a big success. Events will be in June, July and August with play formats that include alternate shot and best ball.

Junior Tennis

The Junior Program's aim is to provide a structured and fun framework for learning from which the student will foster a lasting enjoyment for the game of tennis and a willingness and desire to improve. Our Tennis Pro, Phil Baillos, was awarded the 2008 USTA Missouri Valley "Outstanding Contributor to Youth High Performance". The curriculum seeks to develop and improve stroke technique, movement, court sense, knowledge of the rules, positioning and basic tactics.

Weather Policy
1. If it is determined by the weather forecast that it will be raining throughout the entire clinic and possibly the entire day, the clinic may be cancelled and rescheduled at the end of the session. All rescheduled clinics will be announced at the end of the session.
2. If it is determined that rain might stop right before the clinic is scheduled or during the clinic time, the clinic might be delayed in its starting time. For example if a class is scheduled to start at 12 noon, and it is determined at 11am that the rain will stop before 1pm, that class might just start at 1pm.

Because of unpredictable weather, we will try to make a decision within 30 minutes of the scheduled class, but it might be as close as 15 minutes to the time of the scheduled class. All decisions will be posted on the Internet and the answering machine in our pro shop office (442-1412).

It will be the parent/players responsibility to call the pro shop (442-1412) or check www.ccmo.net , to find out what the schedule is for that day. If there is no announcement on the phone or internet, classes are AS SCHEDULED, NO CHANGES.
