Lifeguard

We are a very family-friendly, private Club that pride ourselves on hiring quality staff. Our Members’ and guests’ safety is the most important aspect of your job as a CCMO Lifeguard! In addition to performing all safety aspects, we look for staff who love working with a great team, interact well with all ages, and pride themselves on being the best!

Job Requirements:

Must have current Lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross (by end of May).

Enforce all rules, regulations, and safety practices.

Practice and maintain lifesaving skills

Greet all Members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.

Perform appropriate first aid and prepare reports for all incidents.

Clean and sanitize the facility throughout shifts.

Our pool is open Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day, 7 days a week from 11:00am – 8:00pm.

We offer a flexible schedule, but our staff must be available at least 2 of the 3 holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day).

If you are not able to meet these scheduling requirements, please contact us about being a substitute guard.

Pay Range $9 - $10/hour + the chance to earn more by providing private swim lessons

Tennis Professional

Country Club of Missouri (CCMO) in Columbia, MO has an immediate opening for a Tennis Professional that is passionate and hardworking with a great personality and attitude who wants to make a difference. We are looking for a professional that is committed to growth and high tennis delivery standards. CCMO has 2 tennis facilities; 4 outdoor courts on the property and a 2-court indoor property off-site. The Tennis Professional will maintain, create, and deliver dynamic, high-energy, engaging, and fun lessons for all ages and skill levels. The position will be responsible for all duties associated with on court teaching, off court responsibilities, and promotion of tennis.

MISSION

Provide excellent tennis instruction and customer service to encourage and support Member goals.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to the CCMO General Manager.

  • Be a passionate and inspirational ambassador for tennis to all ages and skill levels.

  • Deliver and maintain an hourly minimum of 40 hours per week on court.

  • Provide private and group lessons to all ages and skill levels.

  • Responsible for the financial accountability of programs and lessons.

  • Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the playing environment.

MEMBER EXPERIENCE MANAGEMENT

  • Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure Members develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement.

  • Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct Members at all ages and skill levels on proper technique, tactics, and strategies to improve their overall tennis game.

  • Ensure Members understand and adhere to tennis rules, scoring procedures, safety rules, and tennis etiquette.

  • Ensure all tennis facilities and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition.

  • Quickly and efficiently respond to Member questions, comments, and concerns.

SALES & PROMOTION

  • Involve Members with programs, tournaments, and special events, fully utilizing both tennis facilities and available marketing support.

  • Actively participate in the system-wide sales effort with Membership advisors and Member activities, ensuring tennis is an integral component of the CCMO brand

  • Actively participate in integrating new Members into the CCMO tennis program.

  • Identify inactive tennis players and re-engage them in appropriate programs.

  • Actively develop a positive image for CCMO tennis in the community through involvement with schools, community education programs, charities, and/or fundraisers.

  • Promote tennis programs, lessons, court time, equipment, etc. and encourage Member engagement.

  • Work closely with other CCMO departments to raise awareness about tennis and look for ways to partner with them in improving the Member experience.

  • Continually increase knowledge of all CCMO programs, products, and services and promote them to Members.

FINANCIAL & BUDGETARY

  • Participate in annual budget planning and evaluation.

  • Submit Member usage data and bills in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Achieve or exceed monthly/annual revenue and programming goals.

MANAGERIAL & SUPERVISORY

  • Attend department head and "all Club" meetings.

  • Properly schedule, monitor, and supervise the Assistant Tennis Professional.

  • Organize and supervise junior and adult level USTA sanctioned tournaments.

  • Work closely with the Clubhouse Manager and Director of Events for any Club functions.

  • Meet weekly with the General Manager to discuss the program and any needs the department may have.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF ALL POSITIONS

  • Support and articulate the CCMO mission statement and overall Club culture.

  • Adhere to all CCMO policies and procedures.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Demonstrate positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism to internal and external customers.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of tennis teaching experience

  • USPTA and/or PTR Certified (or commitment to obtain certification)

  • Personal level of play 4.0 or higher

  • Competitive junior tennis and/or college tennis experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Positive and effective Member engagement skills

  • 4-year college degree strongly preferred

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS / REGISTRATIONS

  • USPTA/PTR certification (or willingness to obtain)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

  • Excellent customer service skills

Golf Course Maintenance

Country Club of Missouri is looking for a motivated individual to join our team! We currently have an opening for a dependable, energetic, and experienced Golf Course Maintenance crew member to assist our grounds team at our active Club. We're looking for someone who exhibits teamwork and a can-do attitude.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have a commitment to maintaining our golf course. We have a fun, family-oriented atmosphere and offer free meals and golf privileges.

Assist with course set up, daily maintenance, mowing, general landscape maintenance and projects associated with the golf course.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be able to lift and carry landscape materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Must be able and willing to work outside during periods of inclement weather and extreme heat.

Must be able to lift, bend, climb, stoop and pull frequently.

Equipment experience is helpful but not required.

This is a seasonal position. Hours may vary due to weather, etc. with up to 40+ during spring and summer. We have openings for employees who can work March through at least November.

 

Food Expeditor & Banquet Setup

Country Club of Missouri is looking for bright, energetic individuals who like working in a professional setting and would like to utilize their hospitality experience.  The Food Expeditor & Banquet Setup position will ensure high quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner.  The hours are Tuesday-Saturday 4:00 PM-close and some holidays and major events. 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Serve as a liaison between the cooks, waiters, and customers
Work closely with the food runner
Have detailed knowledge of our menus
Ensure that the food orders are cooked and sent out in a timely manner
Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, temperature, and overall quality
Keep front kitchen line stocked, clean, and sanitized
Will also be responsible for setting up banquets in downtime

Requirements:

Previous experience as a food expeditor or other restaurant experience is preferred
Strong communication skills are required
Must be able to effectively multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, keep organized, and work under pressure
Must have a customer-oriented approach
Must be able to carry and lift up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to read menu items
Must have the ability to stand and move for 6-8 hours if needed
Must obtain Boone County food handler’s certification

Food Runner & Banquet Setup

Country Club of Missouri is seeking experienced servers and bartenders to staff our dining room and banquet facility. We are looking for bright, energetic individuals who like working in a professional setting and would like to utilize their hospitality experience.  

Daily duties include serving our dining room, setting up and serving events.

Requirements:
Must have some daytime availability
Must be available to work most weekends and holidays
Must be able to multi-task
Excellent customer service skills
Previous serving experience preferred, but not required
Must be able to lift 15 pounds

 

Dishwasher

Part Time Dishwasher and general cleaning position.  No experience necessary. Days, evenings, and weekend availability.

 

Line Cook - Full Time & Part Time Positions

 Job Summary:
Prepares items required for work station according to par sheets or instructions from chef. Prepares products assigned to his/her work station during service.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepares meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.
2. Carefully follows standard recipes when preparing all items.
3. Uses food preparation equipment according to manufacturers' instructions.
4. Cleans work station and equipment during shift. (Clean as you go.)
5. Returns unused food products to proper storage areas.
6. Assists with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
7. Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling procedures.
8. Returns soiled food preparation utensils and other smallware items to the proper areas.
9. Performs other duties as requested by the chef.
10. Prepares employee meals.

Must be able to:
Stand and walk continuously
Push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
Stoop, bend and kneel occasionally
Reach overhead occasionally
