Golf Pro Letter
Dear Golfers,
This year the Member-Member has been moved to late August with the hopes of avoiding the weather problems of the last couple of years. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, August 28. The format will be the same as years past, with a shotgun start at 10 am and a dinner to die for that evening. Please take time to sign up and play the 2010 Member-Member this coming month. It is always one of the best events of the year!
This year, the Men’s Club Championship will be held over one weekend, August 7 & 8. This one weekend format was a great success when tested during the Men’s Alternate Shot. It makes scheduling matches a thing of the past and brings conclusion to the tournament in a timely fashion. If you are
interested in playing or seeing the tournament schedule for that weekend, please contact the Golf Shop at 442-1310.
Once again, our Members have endured a golf season with its fair share of bad weather. The rain has continued a three year pattern of excess, and I know you have endured much frustration about closed or restricted conditions. I want to say thank you for your patience during yet another tough year, but I know that your patience has been worth it. As we continue to strive toward our goal of being the best maintained golf course in mid-Missouri, the comments of guests and Members during many recent tournaments indicate we are getting there. The response has been very similar between long time
Members and first time players at our course: That it is in excellent shape or in the best shape EVER. That is quite a statement and I hear it over and over. It is a compliment to Ryan Sears, our great superintendent, but also a compliment to each of our Members. Thank you!
A quick reminder, FOOTBALL SEASON is just around the corner, which means the
Mizzou Football Pool will be up this month! This is an annual tradition in the CCMO Golf Shop and is always lots of fun. Pay one small fee for a season of fun watching Mizzou take it to the rest of the country! Get your spot early, they will go fast! (Ask about this in the Golf Shop)
